Description
PS/MS 206: The Academy for Social Change, located in East Harlem, is searching for dynamic, compassionate teachers.
We have the following positions available:
SPED 1-6
With a highly-collaborative, supportive, and committed staff, PS/MS 206 promotes a culture emphasizing excellence and academic achievement for every student within an inclusive community. Social justice, service learning, and character development are the cornerstone of every student's education at PS/MS 206. The middle school program is based on an ICT model, with curriculum delivered by teaching partnerships in each content area and offering targeted instruction to students.
PS/MS 206 is part of the New York City Department of Education's "ASD Nest Program," an inclusion program supporting higher functioning children with autism spectrum disorders learning to function well academically, behaviorally, and socially. All ASD Nest faculty receive extensive training and ongoing support in best practices to support students.
